Bone cancer is a type of cancer originating in the bone. There are two classifications of bone cancer: primary tumors and secondary tumors. Primary tumors originate in the bone and the cancerous tumors include osteosarcoma, chondrosarcoma, Ewing’s sacrmoa, malignant fibruous hitiocytoma, fibrosarcoma, and many other sarcoma tumor types. Secondary tumors are metastatic tumors that have spread from organs like the breast, lung, and prostate. Common treatments include chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and amputations in the worst cases.

 

Retinoblastoma Facts:


Retinoblastoma is a cancer originating in the retina. This childhood cancer is thankfully rare. A recent study in the UK found only 1 in 15,000 live births has retinoblastoma. Typically diagnosed between 24 and 30 months, the disease makes itself known by abnormal appearance of the pupil. Retinoblastoma is most often die to environmental factors (55 percent), but hereditary factors are very common (45 percent). Luckily, it is one of the more treatable cancers, with 9 in 10 cases able to be cured.
